After the movie Gangster, which is getting a mixed response all over, Mammootty is now busy shooting for his movie Manglish. The movie will see Mammootty as a whole sale fish merchant. It was reported that the character played by the actor had a fantasy for the language English. Though ignorant in the language, he tries to use it an inappropriate situations. Now, the director of the film Salaam Bappu has slammed this news and confirms that Mammootty plays the character who is scared of English!
Salaam Bappu says that Mammootty does not know English in the
film and is scared to speak the language in public. Things go
difficult for him after he meets a tourist from Netherlands, who
later becomes his friend. The friend communicates to him in English
and how he manages to handle things without knowing the language
deals with the rest of the story.
Meanwhile, Mammootty speaks Kochi slang in Manglish.
Mammootty is one such actor who has tried out many slangs in most
of his films starting from Kasargod to Thiruvananthapuram. Suresh
Gopi will also be seen speaking Thiruvananthapuram slang in his
upcoming movie The Dolphins. Mohanlal, who has tried out a different
slang in Thoovanathumbikal, will be seen speaking Malabar
slang in Koothara.
