Mammootty,

won
the
Lifetime
Acheivement
Award
in
Kashmir
Film
Festival,
2014.
The
actor
is
honored
for
his
acheivements
and
contributions
towards
the
indian
cinema.
Mamootty's
latest
movie,
Balyakalasakhi
was
the
only
Malayalam
movie
selected
for
the
festival.
The
movie
won
two
special
awards
for
the
script
and
direction,
in
the
category
of
Indian
films.
Mammootty
has
made
a
record
for
winning
the
maximum
number
of
Best
Actor
trophies
in
the
National
Film
Awards,
along
with
veteran
actors
Kamal
Hassan
and
Amithabh
Bachchan.
He
has
won
the
Best
Actor
award
3
times,
on
the
years
1989,
1993
and
1998.
He
also
holds
the
record
for
winning
maximum
number
of
trophies
in
the
Best
Actor
category
in
Filmfare
Awards
South.
He
has
won
the
award
10
times.
The
actor
also
have
5
Best
Actor
awards
from
Kerala
State
Film
Awards
in
his
credit.
Mammootty,
who
was
facing
a
huge
criticism
for
his
selection
of
movies
in
recent
times,
has
earned
huge
positive
reviews
for
his
performance
in
the
movie
Munnariyippu,
which
release
last
week.
The
movie
is
well
praised
by
the
critics
and
audience
and
successfully
runs
in
the
theatres.
His
next
release
is
Rajadhi
Raja,
directed
by
Ajay
Vasudevan,
which
slated
to
release
for
Onam.
He
willplay
the
lead
in
the
Siddique
directed
upcoming
flick
Rascals
and
Johny
Antony
directed
Dance
Dance.
Reportedly,
the
actor
will
also
share
screen
with
Mohanlal
in
the
upcoming
Shaji
Kailas
directed
untitled
flick.
