Reportedly,
Mohanlal
has
decided
to
release
his
movies
only
for
festival
seasons.
Mohanlal
made
such
a
decision
due
to
the
poor
performances
of
his
recent
releases
such
as
Mr
Fraud
and
Koothara.
His
latest
release
Peruchazhi
is
an
average
grosser
in
box
office.
The
actor
was
not
able
to
repeat
the
magic
created
by
the
blockbuster
movie
Drishyam,
which
went
on
to
become
the
second
ever
highest
grosser
of
Mollywood.
As
per
the
decision,
Mohanlal's
upcoming
movie
Lailaa
O
Lailaa
will
get
released
on
Christmas
and
Sathyan
Anthikad
directed
untitled
flick
is
slated
to
release
for
Vishu.
But
the
official
confirmation
on
the
report
is
yet
to
happen.
According
to
the
reports,
Mohanlal
has
also
decided
to
sell
the
television
rights
of
his
all
upcoming
releases
to
Amrita
TV.
It
is
rumoured
that
he
took
the
decision
upon
the
opinion
differences
between
him
and
the
head
officials
of
the
channel
Asianet,
who
usually
bags
the
television
rights
of
Mohanlal
movies.
The
actor
hasn't
commented
on
these
reports
yet.
Mohanlal
has
committed
a
handful
of
projects,
which
includes
Anil
directed
Memorycard,
Madhupal's
untitled
flick
and
Rajeevnath's
next
movie.
If
the
reports
on
the
decision
took
by
the
star,
to
release
his
movies
only
on
festival
seasons
are
true,
it
can
affect
the
releases
of
his
upcoming
projects
badly.
