Mohanlal To Play Lead In Madhupal's Next Movie

Mohanlal is all set to play lead role in actor-director Madhupal's next untitled directorial venture. The film, which is said to be a full-length comedy, will go on floors by September at Palakkad. It is also reported that, Mohanlal will be sporting a complete new look for the movie.

The project which was announced immediately after the release of Madhupal's critically acclaimed award winning movie Ozhimuri, got delayed due to Mohanlal's other movie commitments. Mohanlal will join the sets of this movie after completeing the filming of Joshiy's upcoming flick Lailaa O Lailaa.

The actor was supposed to do Sathyan Anthikad's new project after Lailaa O Lailaa; but decided to take over Madhupal's project because the scripting of Sathyan Anthikad movie is not yet completed.

Madhupal made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed movie Thalappavu, which depicted real life story of Naxal Varghese and Constable Ramachandran Nair. His second directorial venture Ozhimuri earned a huge critical acclaim and got the official selection in the Indian Panorama Section of the 43rd International Film Festival Of India.

Mohanlal, who is all set to join the sets of Lailaa O Lailaa, have a bundle of new projects in his kitty. He will be acting in the upcoming movie Memory Card, which is directed by Anil, who has already directed acclaimed movies like Adiverukal and Douthyam.
