Mukesh Khanna to play antagonist in Rajadhi Raja

Mukesh Khanna, who played the legendary character Shaktimaan, will act with Mammootty in the upcoming film Rajadhi Raja, directed by debutant Ajay Vasudevan, the former associate of Director Shafi. Despite his super hero image, it is reported that Mukesh Khanna is playing the antagonist in the movie.

Mukesh Khanna rose to fame by playing Bheeshma Pithamaha in B R Chopra's TV series Mahabharath. But, the superhero series Shaktimaan, in which he played the title character made him a national star; especially among the kids.

The Shaktimaan series which was produced by himself, still remains as the most popular TV series of the country. He has also done many other renowned TVshows like Aaryamaan and Yug. He has also acted in popular films like Saudagar, Raja, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Raja, Hera Pheri etc. In most of his movies, he portrayed the cop or military officer roles. Khanna will be seen next in J P Dutta's Border 2, a sequel of the blockbuster movie Border.

Rajadhi Raja is penned by the duo Udaya Krishna-Sibi K Thomas. The filming is going on in Pollachi, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Mammootty is playing a restaurant owner, Shekharan Kutty, and Rai Lakshmi is playing the character of his wife, Radha. Joy Mathew and Jojo will play the supporting roles in the movie. The movie is slated to release for Onam.
