Venu, the cinematographer turned director, who made a bang with the latest release Munnariyippu, revealed that his Mohanlal starrer project will not go on floors in the near future. It was rumoured that Mohanlal will be playing the lead role in Venu's next movie. But the director said that he has a project with Mohanlal in his mind; but it is not his next project.
Venu stated that he was actually planning a movie with Mohanlal in the lead role instead of Munnariyippu. But the project didn't materialise and he moved on with Munnariyippu. Venu also revealed that he started scripting Munnariyippu with Sreenivasan in his mind; but later found that Mammootty is more suitable for the character C K Raghavan.
Venu is currently planning for a new project; but the cast is not finalized yet. The director said that the scripting is in the pipeline and the project will get an official announcement soon. He also confirmed that he has no plans to quit cinematography and will be continuing his favourite profession in future.
Mohanlal is currently filming for Lailaa O Lailaa, directed by Joshiy. Amala Paul will play the female lead in the move; which will also have Tamil actor Sathyaraj in a pivotal role. The actor has also committed Sathyan Anthikad and Madhupal's untitled projects and Anil directed Memorycard.
