North 24 Kaatham, Perariyathavar Nominated For National Award!

Now this time, it is indeed a time of joy for the Malayalam industry as well as for the whole Keralites. The final lists of nominations are been made for the National Award and this time actor Suraj Venjaramoodu has been in for the category of Best Actor. It is a double delight as six Malayalam movies are also been selected in the final lists for various categories. It has been rumoured that Malayalam industry is likely to win three awards this time.

North 24 Kaatham, starring Fahad Fazil and Swati Reddy in lead roles, has been selected for the Best Regional Cinema category, as per reports. Perariyathavar, starring Suraj Venjaramoodu and Indrans in the lead has also been nominated in the final lists.

North 24 Kaatham was a specially treated movie, directed by Anil Radhakrishnan Menon. Fahad played an over brilliant character in the film, who goes to help an old man whom he meets in a train journey along with a woman. The movie was well-scripted and all characters in the movie won special appreciation from the movie critics after its release.

Perariyathavar is yet another movie which has a social message to convey. Suraj and Indrans played sweepers in the film. The movie revolved around the problems faced by the people living in the marginalised sections in the society.

Rumours are doing rounds that the best regional cinema award will be bagged by Noth 24 Kaatham. If so, it will be indeed a great achievement by the Malayalam industry that it is getting its deserved recognition.
