Padmapriya Enters Wedlock Today (November 12)
Padmapriya, the talented actress who recently made a comeback with Amal Neerad directed Iyobinte Pusthakam, is entering wedlock today. The actress will tie the knot with her long time boyfriend Social Scientist Jasmine, today, in a private ceremony conducted in Mumbai. The wedding will be a strict family affair and reportedly, no media or film fraternity members are invited for the ceremony.
Padmapriya, who took a break from movies to pursue higher studies, was doing a research about the Economical Affairs of Public Sectors, in New York. The actress met Jasmine and fell in love, during her research days. Jasmine, who hails from Gujarat, is currently working for Poverty Eradication Lab, a non-governmental enterprise.
Padmapriya is the daughter of Brigadier Janakiraman and Vijaya. The actress, who is highly active in the Malayalam and Tamil movie industries, had won the awards for Best Debut, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress in Filmfare Awards South, 2 Second Best Actress Trophies in Kerala State Film Awards and a special prize in Best Actress category, in Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. Padmapriya has also won a special jury award in National Film Awards of 2009, for her performances in various movies.
The actress is currently filming for a couple of projects in various languages, including her Bollywood movie Striker, in which she will share screen with Siddharth Narayan. Her latest release Iyobinte Pusthakam is running successfully in the theatres and the actress has been receiving highly positive reviews for her performance as Rahel, a lady with negative shades.
