Ever since the movie Peruchazhi has been announced, the film has made it to the headlines due to its uniqueness in title. Moreover Mohanlal, who plays the lead in the movie, is yet another reason for the hype. Now a story, touted to be Peruchazhi's, has gone viral in many sites. People are promoting the story saying to be that of the movie Peruchazhi.

Now Sandra Thomas, one of the co-producer of the film got so upset with these news that she finally wrote a post on her Facebook page slamming the story to be a fake one. She wrote: Dear friends , lalettan fans and people, who love cinema , It has come to our notice that some of the movie promoters hav written about peruchazi and a glimpse of what the movie is all about based on a magazine article . However, we would like to correct the same. The movie is completely different from the story floating around. We will give the right input about the story at the appropriate time .
