Rima Kallingal, who was keeping away from the industry after her marraige with director Aashiq Abu, is all set to make a comeback. The director himself has announced his next movie with his wife and actress Rima Kallingal. The film is titled Oppana.
The director wrote on his social page: My next will be with Rima Kallingal in the lead along with some new faces. Based on a song. Venugopal Ramachandran Nair handling the writing part and Bijibal Maniyil doing the Music. Will update the details very soon.
The movie inspired from a rap song 'Mahiyile pennungale kandukka...' made by a group of girls from Kasargod. Aashiq happened to hear this song and got very much impressed.
Like his previous outing 22 Female Kottayam with wify Rima Kallingal, this movie is also touted to be a woman centric film, told in the view point of a woman. Oppana is a traditional Muslim dance and they chose Rima as she is a trained dancer. "Rima is ideal for the role as she is a dancer herself. Moreover, she is a mature person, who has the ability to inspire and lead a pack of girls," says Venugopal, the script writer.
The music will be composed by Bijibal. The movie will be shot in the northern parts of Kerala. Idukki Gold was the last outing of Aashiq Abu.
