Drishyam will be remade in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and also in Hindi. Mohanlal played the lead role in the film as Georgekutty and as the name suggests, he was Christian. Now, in Kannada, the remake of Drishyam will not see Georgekutty.

In the Kannada remake of Drishyam, the movie will see not Georgekutty because the character will be a Hindu. The role is essayed by Ravichandran. The role played by Meena will be essayed by none other than the Mallu girl Navya Nair. Though she had already made her comeback after marriage, this role will indeed be a challenging one for the actress.
