Santhanam All Set To Make Mollywood Debut

Popular Tamil actor Santhanam, who is popular for his comedy roles, is all set to make his Mollywood entry. He will be seen playing a key role in the upcoming movie Salala Mobiles, which is slated to get released on January 23.

Dulquar Salman and Nazriya Nazim play the lead roles in Salala Mobiles. Santhanam will be seen as a Coimbatore based application developer in the movie. Dulquar is essaying the role of a mobile shop owner, while Nazriya will be seen playing a Muslim girl Shahana.

Salala Mobiles is a romantic story of a mobile shop owner and a customer. It is directed by debutant Sharath S Haridas. Reports claim that Santhanam will be seen in a never before seen avatar.

Director says, "Santhanam plays Alakarsami, a complex and mysterious personality, who at times even triggers doubt as to whether he is a human being! I don't think Santhanam has played such a role even in Tamil films. Right from the time I shaped this story, I had Santhanam in my mind as the right actor to play this part."

Santhanam was too busy with his projects so the crew had to wait to rope him in. Sharath, who has also been an ad filmmakers says, "I knew Santhanam before and knew that he was interested to work in the Malayalam industry. We had to wait for a long time to get him, but it was worth it as he took an extra effort and also dubbed for the character in a short period."

Meanwhile, Nazriya and Dulquar are also filming for their Tamil movie. Dulquar is making his debut in Tamil with the movie titled Vaai Moodi Pesavum.
