The release of the upcoming Jayasurya starrer Seconds has been getting postponed from last few months. Recently, the director of the movie Aneesh Upasana and producer Ajay Jose has started a strike in front of the distribution office, alleging that the distribution company owner Maha Subair cheated them by trading the distribution rights to a third party.
Aneesh Upasana and Ajay Jose says that Maha Subair refused to meet them to discuss about the issue. The producer is in a big financial crisis and not even able to pay the remuneration of the cast and crew. The director-producer duo states that the complete cast and crew offered them full support and has willingly joined in the strike.
The filming of Seconds was completed one year back and the movie was awaiting to be released from last few months. Aneesh Upasana and Ajay Jose say that right when the movie was about to hit the theatres, it got postponed; more than once. The director-producer duo demands an immediate release or compensation from the distributer. They also added that they are planning to move legally to solve the issue.
Seconds is a reportedly a social-thriller, which revolves around the lives of four individuals who meet up in an unexpected situation. Jayasurya, Vinay Fort, Anusree and Aparna Nair will essay the lead roles, while Salim Kumar, Vinayakan, Riyas Khan and Pradeep Kottayam plays the other pivotal roles. Suresh Rajan handles the cinematography and Gopi Sundar composes the music.
