Spadikam Returns Big Screen

After the successful re-release of Narasimham, Mohanlal starrer iconic movie Spadikam, is all set to be re-released in digital format. It is considered as one of the biggest hits in the actor's career and his character Aadu Thoma is considered as one of the most legendary characters of Malayalam cinema. Spadikam is directed by Badran and produced by R Mohan.

Badran, the director of the movie, revealed the news in a recent interview. The director thinks that the iconic movie deserves a digital release, as it will make the movie reach the present generation.

Spadikam revolves around Aadu Thoma aka Thomas Chacko, a brilliant student who turns into a village good due to circumstances. Mohanlal received extremely positive reviews from the audience and critics for his performance as Aadu Thoma and won the Best Actor Award in the Kerala State Film Awards and Filmfare Awards of 1995.

Thilakan played Aadu Thomas father Chacko Master. Urvashi played the female lead opposite Mohanlal in the movie. KPAC Lalitha, Bahadhur, Nedumudi Venu, Rajan P Dev, N F Varghese, Bheeman Raghu, Spadikam George, Maniyanpilla Raju etc essayed the supporting roles in the movie. The item dance which features Silk Smitha was another specialty of the movie.
