The
director
confirmed
that
they
are
planning
to
file
a
defamation
case
against
the
daily
soon.
He
stated
that
media
always
considers
the
lives
and
deaths
of
celebrities
as
entertainment.
Recently,
Mangalam
daily
has
reported
that
Kochi
police
is
seeking
special
permission
from
the
higher
officials,
to
question
Aashiq
Abu,
Rima
Kallingal
and
Fahadh
Faasil,
regarding
their
involvement
in
cocaine
case.
Later,
the
reports
were
revealed
to
be
false.
The
director
points
out
that
even
the
higher
police
officials
were
completely
clueless
about
the
reports.
He
thanked
the
mainstream
media,
for
consulting
with
the
police
officials,
before
publishing
the
news.
Aashiq
harshly
criticized
the
daily
and
the
writer
for
the
irresponsible
act.
He
opened
up
about
the
issue,
with
a
recent
Facebook
post.
Aashiq
Abu
points
that
it
was
the
same
writer,
who
published
false
reports
regarding
the
popular
ISRO
scientist
Nambi
Narayanan.
Aashiq,
Rima
and
Fahadh
are
planning
to
hand
over
the
compensation
amount
they
receive
from
the
daily,
to
Nambi
Narayanan.
The
director
also
revealed
that
he
is
a
very
good
friend
of
Shine
Tom
Chacko,
who
has
been
arrested
for
the
possession
of
cocaine.
Aashiq
says
that
none
of
them
are
planning
to
cut
down
the
relationship
with
Shine,
due
to
such
an
issue.
He
feels
that
Shine
should
get
the
right
punishment,
if
he
has
done
something
illegal.
Rima
Kallingal
