Why Was Andrea Jeremiah Taken Out From Lal Jose's Neena?

Andrea Jeremiah, the popular actress-singer was initially approached by director Lal Jose, to play the title character Neena, in his upcoming movie Nee-Na. But the actress was later taken out of the project due to an interesting reason.

Reportedly, Lal Jose wanted Andrea to chop off her long hair for the character. But the actress was not ready to accept Lal Jose's instructions. The director, who wanted his heroine to look tomboyish, taken out Andrea from the project.

Later, former Miss Kerala Deepti Sati was roped in to play the character. According to Lal Jose, Neena is a tomboyish alcoholic girl who works for an advertising agency.

Andrea Jeremiah, who has already established herself as one of the leading actresses of South Indian cinema, has always been in the headlines with for her bold moves in her career and personal life.

Ann Augustine will essay Nalini, another central character in the movie. Nalini is a homemaker who lives with her husband Vinay Panicker and kid. Nalini enters Neena's life through her husband, who happens to be Neena's colleague. Vijay Babu essays Vinay Panicker.

The filming of the movie is progressing at various locations of Russia and Kochi. The movie is penned by popular ad filmmaker Venugopal R. Jomon T John handles the cinematography and debutante Nikhil J Menon composed the music.
