Bhavana's Father Balachandran Passes Away

Actress Bhavana's father Balachandran passed away. The 59-year-old was rushed to the hospital immediately, early in the morning following high blood pressure; but his life could not be saved.

Balachandran was a photographer by profession. All of his close family members, including Bhavana were by his side at the time of death. Balachandran is survived by wife Pushpa, son Jayadev, daughter Bhavana, and daughter-in-law Vinaya.

The funeral will be held at Paramekkavu Shathighat crematorium, Thrissur at 3.30 pm, today. According to the latest reports, some eminent personalities from the film industry and politics will attend the funeral.

Bhavana has always stated that she is attached to her father more than anyone else. Her father was the prime reason for her entry into the dance field and cinema. He was the one who noticed her interests in acting and dance.

The actress decided to try her luck in films upon the insistence of her father, who was highly passionate about cinema. Balachandran actually aspired to send his daughter to Kerala Kalamandalam for studies; but she opted for a film career.

Bhavana, who made acting debut with Kamal directed Nammal, is one of the most sought after actresses of the industry today. She is reportedly all set to tie the knot with her producer boyfriend by the end of this year.
