FINALLY! Charlie Gets A Release Date

Charlie, the much-anticipated Dulquer Salmaan starrer has finally got a release date. The movie, which will have Parvathy in the female lead, will hit the theatres on December 24th. Charlie is directed by Martin Prakkat.

The release of Charlie, which is undoubtedly the most awaited film of the season, was postponed due to the theatre strike in Kerala. The movie, which is jointly penned by Unni R and Martin Prakkat, was actually slated be released today (December 18th).

According to the director Martin, Charlie is a very simple romantic entertainer; which has nothing extraordinary to offer. The crew fears that the overhype among the fans may badly affect the reach of the movie.

Charlie is entirely different from the roles which Dulquer has played in his earlier films. Charlie is a young man who has a life experience which overshadows his age. He talks in a mix of various types of Malayalam dialects.

For Parvathy, the character Tessa is a total revelation after her much intense role, Kanchana. Aparna Gopinath, who was introduced by Martin Prakkat through his Dulquer movie ABCD, is also playing a key role in Charlie.
