Gautham
Menon,
the
popular
filmmaker
of
South
Indian
Cinema,
is
planning
to
cast
Fahadh
Faasil
or
Nivin
Pauly
in
his
Malayalam
debut.
Reportedly,
Gautham
has
visited
Kochi
recently,
to
discuss
the
project
with
Fahadh
and
Nivin.
If
things
fall
in
place,
Gautham
Menon
will
soon
make
his
Malayalam
directorial
debut,
with
one
of
these
young
actors
in
the
lead
role.
The
hitmaker
was
initially
planning
to
direct
Mohanlal
in
his
M'town
debut.
But
according
to
the
rumour
mills,
Gautham
has
failed
to
impress
Mohanlal
with
his
ideas.
But
the
filmmaker
has
always
stated
his
deep
admiration
for
the
Malayalam
movie
industry
and
actors;
especially
Mohanlal.
Nivin
Pauly,
on
the
other
hand,
has
always
been
a
huge
fan
of
Gautham
Menon.
In
the
recent
interview
given
to
Vanitha
magazine,
the
actor
recalled
his
first
telephonic
conversation
with
Gautham,
which
happened
during
the
filming
of
Ivide.
According
to
Nivin,
he
revealed
his
admiration
for
Gautham
Menon
to
his
co-star
Prithviraj.
Prithvi,
who
is
a
good
friend
of
Gautham,
immediately
called
the
director
and
handed
over
the
phone
to
Nivin.
Fahadh
Faasil
was
earlier
approached
by
Gautham
Menon
for
a
Tamil
movie,
but
the
actor
backed
out
of
the
project
due
to
his
lack
of
fluency
in
the
language.
Gautham
has
always
mentioned
that
Fahadh
is
one
of
his
favourite
actors.
