Lena To Quit Mother Roles

Lena, the actress who has proved her mettle with a bunch of versatile roles, says that she won't act in mother roles anymore. Lena made such a decision to avoid getting stereotyped.

According to the actress, she accepted the role of Jayasurya's mother in Happy Journey, as she wanted to take a break from bold roles. Later, Lal Jose approached her with the role of Dulquer Salmaan's mother in Vikramadithyan.

The actress was excited to depict by the character from the ages of 20's to mid-50's; thus accepted the role. Later Lena was offered with a mother character in upcoming movie Ennu Ninte Moideen.

She felt that it is really challenging to play the role of Prithviraj's mother in the movie and decided to accept the offer. After these three brilliant mother roles, filmmakers have started approaching the actress with only mother roles.

Lena, who felt that she is being stereotyped, rejected some prestigious projects, including the character of Nithya Menen's mother in recently released 100 Days Of Love.

In the meanwhile, Lena took a break from M'town and made her Tamil movie debut with Dhanush starrer Anegan. She will soon make her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar movie Airlift.
