Mammootty Back With Triple Role

Mammootty is all set to essay triple role after the acclaimed movie Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha. Mammootty will play 3 different characters who are in their 50's, in the upcoming movie directed by debutante Saji.

The news was announced by Benny P Nayarambalam, who pens the script for the movie. The yet to be titled project will start rolling from March 2016. The team is yet to finalise the female lead and the rest of the star cast.

Recently, Ranjith, who directed Mammootty in Paleri Manikyam, has revealed that it was the actor who insisted to play all the three characters by himself. Earlier, Mammootty was only supposed to play the central role; while the rest two roles were fixed for some other actors.

Mammootty's fondness towards multiple roles and image makeovers is not a secret for his fans and the movie industry. The actor always loves to be a part of young, fun-packed and experimental films and work with young filmmakers.

He has always stated that he would love to mentor the young talents. Mammootty launched some of the brilliant filmmakers of young generation, including Lal Jose, Aashiq Abu, Amal Neerad, Anwar Rasheed etc to the movie industry.

The actor is currently filming for the upcoming AK Sajan directed crime thriller Puthiya Niyamam, in which he plays a communist criminal lawyer. Mammootty will next join the sets of Uday Ananthan's White, which is a love story.
