Mammootty-Nayantara's Puthiya Niyamam On December 24

Mammootty-Nayantara starrer upcoming social thriller Puthiya Niyamam will hit the theatres on December 24, Thursday. The movie, which is written and directed by AK Sajan, is the Christmas release for Mammootty this year.

Puthiya Niyamam revolves around the inter-caste couple Adv. Louis Pothan and Vasuki, played by Mammootty and Nayantara. Louis is a communist who belongs to a Thrissur-based Catholic family; while Vasuki is a Kathakali artist with a traditional Brahmin background.

The movie discusses the issues faced by the inter-caste couples in our society. Nayantara is said to be playing one of the strongest characters in her career in the movie; and this is the factor which landed the actress in the project.

Expectations are riding high on the project, as it marks the reunion of Mammootty, with AK Sajan. He is the creator of Mammootty's legendary character, Narasimha Mannadiar from the blockbuster movie Dhruvam, directed by veteran film-maker Joshiy.

It is also special, as Nayantara is pairing up with Mammootty for the fourth time in her career. The actress, who has been considered as one of the ideal leading ladies of the mega star, last teamed up with him for Siddique directed Bhaskar The Rascal.
