Mammootty's Pathemari On October 9

Pathemari, the highly anticipated Mammootty starrer movie will hit the theatres on October 9th. The team announced the release date through their official Facebook page. The movie is written and directed by National award winner Salim Ahamed.

The movie has recently made the headlines when it was shortlisted for India's Official Entry to Oscars. But Pathemari missed the chance; as Marathi movie The Court went on to bag the opportunity. However, this has raised the expectations upon the movie.

Mammootty plays Pallickal Narayanan, an NRI who migrates to Dubai during the early 1980's. The movie revolves around the life and struggles of Narayanan, from during the time span from 1980's to 2015.

Reportedly, Mammootty will be appearing in three different getups in the movie; and the same goes to the supporting actors of the movie, including Sreenivasan, Siddique and Jewel Mary, who plays Narayanan's close friends and wife Nalini respectively.

Shaheen Siddique, the son of Siddique, is making his acting debut with the movie. Shaheen will essay Narayanan and Nalini's son in the movie. Balachandra Menon, Salim Kumar, Joy Mathew, Yavanika Gopalakrishnan etc essays the other key roles.
