The
recent
Mammootty
starrer
Pathemari
is
the
most
unexpected
hit
of
the
year.
As
per
the
latest
updates,
Pathemari
is
all
set
to
break
the
satellite
right
records
of
Mohanlal
starrer
blockbuster
movie
Drishyam.
Reportedly,
Surya
TV
is
planning
to
bag
the
satellite
rights
of
Pathemari,
for
a
whopping
amount
of
7
Crores.
Satellite
rights
of
Drishyam
was
sold
to
Asianet
for
6
Crores;
thus
emerging
as
the
Malayalam
movie
sold
for
the
highest
amount.
Initially,
Pathemari
was
offered
just
2
Crores;
due
to
its
offbeat
nature.
But
the
unexpected
success
turned
the
things
upside
down,
as
the
channels
are
willing
to
pay
more
that
7
Crores
for
the
satellite
rights
of
the
movie.
Recently,
the
satellite
rights
of
Mohanlal's
recent
flick
Loham
was
jointly
purchased
by
Asianet
and
Kairali
TV.
If
the
reports
are
true,
Asianet
paid
an
amount
of
6
Crores;
while
Kairali
TV
paid
1
Crore,
making
the
total
amount
to
7
Crores.
But,
Pathemari
team
is
not
planning
to
divide
the
satellite
rights
between
the
channels.
Instead,
the
team
is
planning
to
sell
the
rights
to
a
single
TV
channel,
which
will
be
able
to
pay
more
than
7
Crores.
Meanwhile,
the
historic
drama
directed
by
Salim
Ahamed
will
have
a
wide
UAE
release
on
November
19.
Pathemari
is
considered
as
one
of
the
best
films
in
Mammootty's
career
and
finest
performance
of
the
actor
in
the
recent
times.
