Kalathilakam
Title
in
Kerala
State
Youth
Festival,
for
two
consecutive
years.
Manju
immediately
started
receiving
movie
offers;
but
her
parents
wanted
her
to
complete
the
education.
Movie
Debut
Manju
Warrier
made
her
acting
debut
with
1995
movie
Sakshyam,
at
the
age
of
17.
She
made
her
lead
role
debut
next
year,
with
the
Sundardas
movie
Sallapam,
where
she
met
her
ex-husband
Dileep.
Stardom
Manju
acted
in
about
20
movies,
in
a
career
span
of
4
years.
She
won
the
Kerala
State
Film
Award
for
Best
Actress
for
her
performance
in
Ee
Puzhayum
Kadannu
and
special
mention
in
National
Film
Awards
for
Kannezhuthi
Pottum
Thottu.
Marriage
And
Retirement
Manju
and
Dileep
entered
the
wedlock
on
20th
October,
1998
in
a
low-key
ceremony
held
at
Aluva
Sreekrishna
Temple.
Following
the
surprise
wedding,
Manju
decided
to
retire
from
the
movies.
Daughter
Meenakshi
Manju
gave
birth
to
their
only
daughter
Meenakshi,
two
years
later.
The
actress
almost
disappeared
from
the
limelight
after
her
birth
and
settled
down
as
a
homemaker.
Meenakshi
is
now
living
with
her
father.
Separation
And
Divorce
Manju
left
Dileep's
house
and
started
living
with
her
parents
by
the
mid-2013.
The
couple
filed
for
divorce
in
July
2014
and
the
court
granted
the
divorce
on
31st
January,
2015.
Successful
Comeback
Following
the
divorce,
Manju
started
appearing
in
ad
films
and
was
soon
roped
in
as
the
brand
ambassador

Kalyan
silks.
She
made
her
comeback
into
films
in
May
2014,
with
the
Roshan
Andrews
movie

You.

the

Manju
is
in
a
relationship
with
a
popular
ad
film-maker,
who
is
already
married.
