Meera
Jasmine,
the
controversy
queen
of
Malayalam
cinema,
is
in
trouble
yet
again.
Budding
director
Manoj
Alunkal,
who
directed
Meera
in
his
debut
movie
Ithinumappuram,
has
lodged
a
complaint
against
the
actress
to
the
movie
associations.
Manoj
alleges
that
Meera
Jasmine
cheated
him
and
his
team
by
quitting
the
movie
midway.
According
to
the
director,
he
approached
her
with
the
project
as
the
script
demanded
a
talented
actress.
Meera
was
also
impressed
with
the
script.
She
signed
the
project
for
a
remuneration
of
15
Lakhs.
But
the
actress
abruptly
left
the
sets
several
times
during
the
filming,
sometimes
even
without
informing
the
crew.
The
crew
was
forced
to
suspend
the
shoot
many
times,
due
to
Meera's
'bad
mood'.
Later,
the
actress
asked
the
team
to
postpone
the
shoot
due
to
her
wedding
and
promised
to
resume
the
filming
after
the
break.
The
crew
constructed
the
sets
in
Alappuzha
upon
her
promise;
but
Meera
never
came
for
the
shoot.
She
also
demanded
additional
10
Lakhs
to
resume
the
shoot.
The
team
decided
to
pay
her;
and
put
forward
a
condition,
that
she
has
to
attend
the
promotional
events.
But
Meera
didn't
turn
up
for
the
promotional
events
and
interviews.
Manoj
points
out
that
most
of
the
directors
have
had
several
bad
experiences
from
Meera;
but
most
of
them
chose
to
ignore
the
issues.
Recently,
veteran
director
Kamal
has
also
lashed
out
against
Meera
through
his
column
in
a
popular
magazine.
