Mohanlal
and
Lal
Jose,
the
super
actor
and
the
brilliant
filmmaker
of
the
Malayalam
cinema
industry,
are
sharing
cold
vibes.
Lal
Jose
opened
up
about
his
strained
equation
with
Mohanlal,
in
the
interview
given
in
to
Manorama
online.
Lal
Jose
and
Mohanlal
has
earlier
associated
for
the
movie
named
Cousins.
The
actor
has
some
issues
with
the
production
banner
and
backed
out
from
the
project,
stating
that
the
climax
is
not
appealing.
Later,
the
director
approached
the
actor
again,
during
the
filming
of
Blessy's
Bhramaram.
But,
Mohanlal
rejected
the
offer
stating
that
his
scripts
have
nothing
new
to
offer;
to
the
much
disappointment
of
Lal
Jose.
The
director
states
that
Mohanlal's
comment
about
his
script
hurted
him
a
lot.
Lal
Jose
remarks
that
all
of
his
films
are
based
on
simple
subjects
based
on
real
life
incidents
and
he
is
satisfied
with
his
career
so
far.
Suresh
Balaji,
the
popular
producer
who
is
also
the
brother-in-law
of
Mohanlal,
had
approached
Lal
Jose
to
direct
a
film
with
Mohanlal
in
the
lead
role.
But
the
director
again
failed
to
impress
Mohanlal
with
his
script;
thus
returned
the
advance
amount.
Mohanlal,
on
the
other
hand,
was
harshly
criticized
by
his
contemporaries,
including
Sreenivasan
and
Jagathy
Sreekumar,
for
his
dismissive
attitude
towards
the
budding
filmmakers.
Quoting
Jagathy
Sreekumar:
“the
reluctance
to
experiment
with
the
new
thoughts
and
fresh
ideas
will
badly
affect
the
growth
of
any
well-established
actor”
