Mohanlal And Padmakumar Teams Up For Kanal

Mohanlal will team up with his Shikkar director Padmakumar, for the upcoming movie Kanal. Mohanlal will play the central character in the movie. A popular young actor will play an equally important role in the movie, which is said to be an out-and-out action thriller.

Interestingly, the team is providing as opportunity for the audience to suggest a young actor, who will be able to share a great camaraderie with Mohanlal. Reportedly, the movie, which has the tag line 'Every end has an old beginning' revolves around two individuals who live in the sand city, with revenge-filled minds.

Mohanlal and Padmakumar's last association, Shikkar was also an exceptional thriller which also dealt with a revenge story. The movie earned highly positive reviews from the audience & critics and performed well at box office as well. Expectations are riding high on Kanal, as Mohanlal will be portraying a full-fledged action role, after a long gap in the movie.

Kanal is an ambitious project for director Padmakumar, who has been going through tough times in his career. The director tasted back-to back failures with his last five directorial ventures, including Thiruvambadi Thampan, Ithu Pathiramanal, Orissa, D Company and Polytechnic.
