According
to
latest
reports,
Mohanlal
is
all
set
to
play
Major
Mahadevan
once
again.
If
the
reports
are
to
be
believed,
the
actor
will
once
again
play
the
popular
character
in
Major
Ravi's
upcoming
war
movie,
which
is
based
on
the
1971
Indo-Pakistan
war.
But
the
makers
are
yet
to
confirm
the
reports.
Mohanlal
first
played
Major
Mahadevan
in
blockbuster
movie
Keerthi
Chakra,
directed
by
Major
Ravi.
The
movie
went
on
to
become
a
huge
critical
and
commercial
success.
The
actor
reprised
his
role
in
the
sequels
of
the
movie,
Kurukshethra
and
Kandahar,
as
Colonel
Mahadevan.
He
shared
screen
space
with
Amithabh
Bachchan
in
Kandahar.
But
both
the
sequels
failed
to
repeat
the
success
of
the
first
part
and
earned
mixed
to
negative
reviews
from
the
audience
and
critics.
Later,
Major
Ravi
reportedly
dropped
the
plan
to
make
a
fourth
part
for
the
movie
and
moved
on
with
other
movie
projects.
Mohanlal
joined
Major
for
another
project
Karma
Yodha;
but
the
movie
miserably
failed
at
box
office.
If
the
reports
are
to
be
believed,
Major
Ravi
has
already
started
scripting
for
the
movie,
with
the
character
Mahadevan
in
the
lead
role.
The
director
and
actor
are
expected
to
make
an
official
announcement
of
the
project
soon.
The
reports
regarding
Major
Mahadevan's
comeback
has
raised
the
expectation
among
the
fans
of
the
character
and
Mohanlal.
