Mohanlal To Reduce Films

By Akhila Menon

Mohanlal is reportedly planning to reduce the number of films due to the consecutive box office failures of his films. He has decided to select movies only on the basis of the scripts.

Earlier, Mohanlal had been committing the projects of the popular filmmakers, without considering the script. But the actor's decision was proven to be wrong, as some of his films including Joshiy's Lailaa O Lailaa failed miserably at the box office.

As per the reports, Mohanlal will be signing a project, only if he is approached with a fully bound script. The actor has commited Vellimoonga fame Jibu Jacob's upcoming flick, which will start rolling soon.

The actor is planning to take a break from films after completing Loham and spend time with family, if he does not find a right script. After the break, Mohanlal will join the sets of Puli Murugan, the upcoming Vysakh movie.

He has finished the first schedule of the upcoming Padmakumar movie Kanal, in Hyderabad. The second schedule filming of the movie will start soon in Dubai. Anoop Menon will appear in a pivotal role in the movie.

Mohanlal has also signed the upcoming B Unnikrishnan movie, which is a sequel of the duo's blockbuster movie Grandmaster. The actor will appear as IG Chandrasekhar from the original, in the sequel as well.
