Malayalam movie industry is yet to have the first blockbuster of 2015. Some anticipated projects did hit the theatres in January and February; but failed to make it big at the box office. Picket 43 and Fireman are the two movies which managed to keep up the expectations and performed well at the box office.
Popular stars, including Mohanlal, Dileep, Dulquer
Salmaan etc are yet to have their first release of the year.
Expectations are riding high on March, as some of the highly
anticipated movies are expected to release this month. Even though
none of the release dates are officially confirmed; the audience
and media expect a box office magic this month.
Doubtlessly, the most anticipated project of the year, Ennum
Eppozhum, which marks the association of Mohanlal and Manju
Warrrier after a long gap of 15 years, is directed by Sathyan
Anthikad. The movie, produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the
banner Ashirwad Cinemas, is expected to release on March
100 Days Of Love, directed by debutante Jenuse Mohammed
is one of the highly ambitious project of the year. The movie will
have Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in the lead roles. Even
though it is rumoured that the movie will hit the theatres on March
20th; the official confirmation is yet to be
Another highly anticipated project of the year, Oru Vadakkan Selfie, which will have Nivin Pauly and Manjima Mohan in the lead roles, is directed by newcomer G Prajith and penned by Vineeth Sreenivasan. If the reports are to be believed, the makers are planning to release the movie by the end of March.
