No Christmas For Mohanlal!

Mohanlal, the magical actor of Malayalam Cinema, will not have a Christmas release this year. The actor didn't have a Christmas release last year as well. Reportedly, no Mohanlal movie will release for the next three months.

Puli Murugan, the actor's next venture directed by Vysakh, is delayed due to the consecutive accidents that has been occuring in the film sets. The movie crew witnessed three consecutive accidents on the sets; to the much worry of the team members.

Drishyam is the last Mohanlal movie which hit the theatres for the Christmas season. The movie, which was released for Christmas 2013, emerged as the highest ever grosser of Malayalam cinema and Mohanlal's career.

But Mohanlal miserably failed to deliver a successful movie after Drishyam; as most of his movies released later were flops or average grossers. It is a tough phase in the career of the actor and he badly needs a successful movie.

Mohanlal had 5 releases this year, including Rasam, Lailaa O Lailaa, Ennum Eppozhum, Loham, and Kanal. Rasam and Lailaa O Lailaa were flops; while the rest of the films delivered average performances at the box office.
