Team Vikramadithyan slammed the rumours about the sequel of the movie. The team stated that they are not planning for a sequel, through the official Facebook page of the movie. Recently, a popular online journal had reported that director Lal Jose and team are planning a make a sequel for the movie, which was one of the highest grossers of 2014.
Director Lal Jose is currently working on his upcoming project Neena. The movie will mark the comeback of Ann Augustine, who is currently on a break from movies. Former Miss Kerala Deepti Sati will essay another female lead. Actor-producer Vijay Babu will play the male lead in the movie.
It was reported that Lal Jose will start the filming of Vikramadithyan sequel, immediately after completing Neena. But now, it has been revealed that the director and the team members has absolutely no plans for a sequel. So, Lal Jose is expected to kick start his upcoming Nivin Pauly starrer project, after completing Neena.
On the other hand, Dulquer Salmaan, who played one of the title roles in the movie, has always expressed his deep opposition towards the remakes and sequels. The actor is currently working on his dream project - Ok Kanmani, directed by Mani Ratnam. Unni Mukundan, who played the other title role, is expecting the release of his upcoming flick Fireman.
