After
a
series
of
deadly
army
stories,
Major
Ravi
is
back
with
yet
another
army
movie
-
Picket
43.
The
movie
which
stars
Prithviraj
in
the
lead
role,
may
not
provide
the
content,
which
the
audience
expect
from
a
typical
Major
Ravi
movie;
but
is
totally
a
different
attempt.
Picket
43,
the
movie
which
revolves
around
Havildar
Hareendran
Nair,
Sniffer
dog
Bacardi
and
Pakistani
soldier
Musharraf
(Javed
Jaffrey),
deals
with
the
internal
conflicts
of
a
Hari
and
his
bonding
with
his
sniffer
dog
Bacardi
and
the
Pakistani
soldier
Musharraf,
who
lives
in
the
opposite
picket.
Hari's
only
companion
in
the
picket
is
Bacardi,
his
sniffer
dog.
Hakka,
the
dog
who
played
sniffer
dog
Bacardi
in
the
movie,
doubtlessly
deserves
a
special
mention.
Hakka
passed
away
immediately
after
the
filming
of
the
movie.
After
Hari
meets
Musharraf,
the
soldier
who
lives
in
the
opposite
post,
both
of
them
doesn't
shies
away
from
beginning
a
new
friendship.
Hari
shares
his
worries
about
his
lonely
mother
and
fiance;
while
Musharraf
shares
his
disappointments
about
the
norms
of
his
village,
which
doesn't
allow
the
girls
to
pursue
education.
The
scenes
in
which
Hari
invites
Musharraf
to
visit
India
and
offers
to
help
him
to
educate
his
daughter,
are
extremely
touching.
The
major
strength
of
the
movie
is
its
climax,
which
reminds
that
every
soldier
will
have
an
unconditional
love
for
his
mother
land.
Picket
43
is
doubtlessly
the
best
movie
of
Major
Ravi's
career
and
one
of
the
best
characters
of
Prithviraj.
