Prathap Pothen's Open Bash On Jayaram And Kalidas

Prathap Pothen, the actor-director openly stated that the reason behind his open bash on Jayaram is his son Kalidas. He cleared his stand on the issue, through a recent Facebook post.

According to Prathap Pothen, He approached Jayaram, to cast Kalidas in his upcoming directorial venture, which is a Malayalam film. Jayaram replied that he will consult with his son Kalidas and let him know.

The actor-director waited for 3 days, as he was in no hurry to finalise the cast. After 3 days, he called Jayaram, and the actor rejected the offer, stating that Kalidas in not interested in working with old filmmakers.

Jayaram's reply made Prathap Pothen upset and that was the reason behind his Facebook post. Prathap also stated that he removed the post, as the racist remarks will affect Kalidas, who is currently working on a Tamil film.

Prathap Pothen feels that there is a dignified way to refuse a project, which you don't want to work in. He states that Jayaram chose the nastiest way to refuse the offer, which is unacceptable.

He also confirmed that he is not scared of the oppositions from Jayaram's fans and the reason behind removing the controversial post is not fear.
