Prithviraj will essay the lead role in director Blessy's much-awaited project Aadujeevitham. The movie is adapted from the novel Aadujeevitham, written by Benyamin. The novel had won the National Sahitya Academy Award for the Best Novel.

The novel is about a young man named Majeed, who migrates to Saudi Arabia with big dreams and ends up as a slave in a goat farm. Prithviraj essays Najeeb in the movie, which will start rolling by the beginning of 2016.

The project was announced in 2010; with Prithviraj playing the central role. Later, sources suggested that it is not Prithvi; but Mohanlal plays Najeeb. But the team slammed the rumours and cleared that Mohanlal is not a part of the project.

Blessy has reportedly approached actor Vikram for the project; but the actor turned down the offer due to his tight schedule. Then, Fahadh Faasil was linked with the project. But Blessy later confirmed that he is not directing Fahadh.

As per the latest reports, Prithviraj is finalised for the role and the actor is planning to shed weight for his character in the movie. Aadujeevitham is a highly ambitious project for Blessy. It is expected to be another turning point in Prithviraj's career.
