Rajinikanth,
the
superstar
of
Indian
Cinema,
is
reportedly
all
set
to
play
the
lead
role
in
the
Tamil
remake
of
Mammootty
starrer
Bhaskar
The
Rascal.
Rajinikanth
recently
watched
the
film
and
thoroughly
enjoyed
it.
Sources
suggest
that
the
superstar
is
extremely
impressed
with
the
subject
of
the
movie
and
Mammootty's
performance.
Reportedly,
Siddique,
who
directed
Bhaskar
The
Rascal,
will
be
directing
the
Tamil
remake
as
well.
Earlier,
Rajnikanth
was
about
to
remake
the
critically
acclaimed
Thanmathra,
but
the
project
was
shelved
due
to
unknown
reasons.
He
was
also
planning
to
remake
blockbuster
movie
Drishyam,
but
the
project
went
on
to
Kamal
Haasan.
Rajni
has
earlier
acted
in
the
remakes
of
some
highly
popular
Malayalam
movies;
Muthu,
Chandramukhi,
Kuselan
etc,
which
were
the
remakes
of
Thenmavin
Kombathu,
Manichitrathazhu
and
Kadha
Parayumbol
repectively.
If
things
fall
in
place,
Nayantara
will
reprise
her
role
from
the
original
in
the
Tamil
remake.
Director
Siddique
has
reportedly
agreed
to
cast
the
actress
in
the
other
remakes
as
well.
However,
the
reports
are
not
officially
confirmed
yet.
According
to
the
closest
sourses,
Rajnikanth
is
expected
to
start
filming
for
Shankar's
Enthiran
2
and
Madras
fame
Ranjith's
untitled
movie
soon.
