Mammootty, the big M of Mollywood, is well-known for his fondness for sunglasses. In the recently conducted audio launch event of the upcoming movie Kohinoor, Mammootty funnily stated that sunglass is a part of his body.
He pointed out that sunglasses are given in Kohinoor movie posters, as the movie revolves around the time span of 1980's. But according to Mammootty, sunglasses cannot be related with any particular eras or generations.
The actor considers wearing sunglasses as a healthy practice and owns a vast collection of different sunglass models. His obsession for sunglasses was funnily portrayed in the recent movie Bhaskar The Rascal.
Malayalam movie industry is getting back to the retro style statements with the recent films. A handful of recent Malayalam films have been narrated in the backdrop of various time periods; which helped in bringing back the retro look back in trend.
Premam is the best example for such cases. After the success of the movie, the shirt-mundu-aviators style, which was highly popular during the 80's and 90's, are back in the wardrobes of Malayali youth.
Kohinoor is another flick, which revolves in the earl 80's period. Interestingly, lead actor Asif Ali is sporting a look, which is highly similar to Mohanlal's look in the 80's films, in the movie.
