Sudev
Nair,
the
actor
who
won
the
Best
Actor
trophy
aong
with
Nivin
Pauly
in
the
Kerala
State
Film
Awards
2015,
has
already
become
a
sensation
in
Mollywood.
He
has
definitely
found
a
place
for
himself
in
M'town.
Interestingly,
media
and
audience
were
almost
clueless
about
who
Sudev
Nair
is
when
the
awards
were
announced.
Sadly,
the
movie
My
Life
Partner
hasn't
received
much
recognitions
from
the
industry,
as
it
deals
with
a
sensitive
subject-
homosexuality.
But,
Sudev
Nair's
fantabulous
performance
in
the
movie
made
him
eligible
to
receive
the
most
prestigious
award
of
the
industry.
The
actor,
who
hails
from
Aluva,
is
an
alumni
of
Pune
Film
Institute.
Sudev
Nair's
role
in
the
movie,
Kiran
was
initially
offered
to
some
popular
young
actors
of
the
industry.
But
all
of
them
rejected
the
film,
as
they
were
not
courageous
enough
to
play
a
homosexual
onscreen.
Later,
director
Padmakumar
finalised
Sudev
for
the
role,
after
watching
some
of
his
short
films.
Sudev
was
completely
confident
about
playing
a
gay
onscreen
and
feels
that
homosexuality
is
absolutely
normal.
The
young
actor
will
be
next
seen
in
the
Prithviraj
starrer
movie
Anarkali,
directed
by
popular
scenarist
Sachi.
Sudev
Nair,
who
made
his
acting
debut
with
Gulabi
Gang,
is
planning
to
be
active
in
the
industry.
