Recently, a press conference was held in Thiruvananthapuram Press Club in connection with the release of the film. The conference was attended by Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Dileep, Kavya Madhavan, KPAC Lalitha etc.

During the conference, Adoor Gopalakrishnan talked about his favourite Dileep film. The internationally acclaimed film-maker picked CID Moosa as his favourite Dileep movie.

Well, this might come as a surprise to many, as CID Moosa was an out-and-out entertainer with fully loaded commercial elements and Adoor Gopalakrishnan is well-known for making offbeat movies with strong content.

In fact, Adoor Gopalakrishnan clarified that he is one such person who enjoys watching comedy movies a lot.

Pinneyum is Dileep's first outing in an Adoor Gopalakrishnan film. The film would have the actor playing the role of a family man named Purushothaman, who is finding it hard to get a job. The actor stated that Pinneyum would be different from the director's previous films.

The film also features actors like Vijayaraghavan, Nedumudi Venu, Indrans, Manju Pilla, KPAC Lalitha etc. in prominent roles.
