Amala Akkineni, the popular actress who made a mark in Mollywood with some exceptional roles, is all set to make a comeback. Amala will play a pivotal role in the upcoming Manju Warrier project.
Reportedly, the senior actress will essay the role of an advocate in the movie, which will have Manju in the role of a simple homemaker. The movie revolves around the clash between these two characters.
Earlier, Amala was supposed to make a comeback with the Murali Gopy-Arunkumar Aravind project, which is reportedly shelved. The new project is based on photographer Victor George's missing case.
The movie is directed by debutante Antony Sony, the former associate of Roshan Andrews. Popular radio jockey RJ Shaan pens the script for the movie, which has reportedly been titled as C/o Sairabanu.
Amala made her Malayalam movie debut with 1991-released movie Ulladakkam, in which she shared the screen with Mohanlal and Shobana. Her second Mollywood outing was Fazil's Ente Sooryaputhrikku.
Interestingly, Amala was the original choice for Priyadarshan-Mohanlal duo's blockbuster movie Kilukkam. But she turned down the offer due to her busy schedule, and the role went to actress-director Revathy.
