The film directed by Uday Ananthan, narrates the love story between a middle aged man and a young lady. Mammootty comes in the role of a banker named Prakash Roy and Huma appears as Roshni menon, an IT professional. Major portions of the movie were shot in London.
Initially, actresses like Trisha and Vidya Balan were considered for the lead role. But, finally Huma qureshi got the nod and ventured into the project. There were reports that, Huma Qureshi had to drop another project starring Amitabh Bachchan in Bollywood to allocate dates for White.
