Rajan

film-maker
passed
away.
The
63-year-old
breathed
his
last
at
a
private
hospital
in
Aluva,
where
he
was
admitted
since
the
past
few
days.
The
director,
who
hails
from
Edathala,
Aluva,
is
famous
for
his
works
Meenathil
Thalikettu
and
Guruji
Oru
Vakku.
Rajan
Sankaradi
is
survived
by
wife
Usha
and
daughter
Parvathy.

Rajagopal
aka
Rajan
Sankaradi,
who
was
born
as
the
son
of
Balachandra
Menon
and
Bharathiyamma,
was
active
with
the
stage
dramas
since
his
childhood
days.
He
relocated
to
Madras
after
completing
the
graduation,
from
where
he
began
his
film
career.
Rajan
was
a
long-term
direction
assistant
of
veteran
director
Balachandra
Menon.
The
director
has
assisted
Balachandra
Menon
in
about
20
films.
Rajan
Sankaradi
was
also
the
directorial
assistant
of
several
other
senior
film-makers
like
Joshiy
and
Sibi
Malayil.
He
made
his
debut
as
an
independent
director
in
1985
with
Guruji
Oru
Vakku.
His
last
film
was
the
2013-released
Vineeth-Manoj
K
Jayan
starrer
Cleopatra.
