Ennu Ninte Moideen, the Prithviraj-Parvathy starrer classic love story, broke the satellite right record of Nivin Pauly's Premam. Asianet bagged the satellite rights of Ennu Ninte Moideen for 6.87 Crores.
Premam satellite right was also bagged by Asianet, for 6 Crores. Mammootty starrer Pathemari was expected to break the record; as the team initially demanded Rs 7 Crores.
But later, the satellite rights of the movie was bagged by a popular channel for 6 Crores. So, it is officially confirmed that Ennu Ninte Moideen is the movie to be sold for the highest amount.
The movie, which depicted the real life romance of BP Moideen and Kanchanamala, was highly appreciated by both the audiences and critics. It is the second highest grosser of 2015.
Ennu Ninte Moideen also emerged as the third highest ever grosser in the history of Malayalam cinema. The movie, which is written and directed by RS Vimal, is all set to be remade into Tamil.
Mean while, Prithviraj and RS Vimal are all set to team up once again, for the epic drama Karnan. The movie, which deals with the life of Karnan, will have Prithviraj in the title role.
