Kabali,
the
Rajinikanth
starrer
is
all
set
to
hit
the
theatres
worldwide,
on
22nd
July,
Friday.
Interestingly,
it
is
Mohanlal,
who
is
distributing
Kabali
in
the
releasing
centres
all
over
Kerala.
The
Malayali
audiences
are
extremely
excited
to
know
that
Mohanlal
is
collaborating
with
a
Rajinikanth
movie,
as
a
distributor.
But,
this
news
reminds
us
of
another
incident
that
happened
during
the
release
of
his
2009
movie,
Ividam
Swargamanu.
Here
we
present
the
best
15
posters
of
Kabali....
Have
a
look...
When
the
Roshan
Andrews
movie
was
about
to
hit
the
theatres,
Mohanlal
and
his
business
partner
Antony
Perumbavoor
had
conducted
a
press
meet,
against
the
wide
Kerala
release
of
Vijay
starrer
Vettaikkaran,
which
was
released
in
75
theatres,
then.
The
duo
was
strictly
against
wide
releases
of
the
other-language
movies
in
Kerala,
as
some
highly
anticipated
Malayalam
releases
were
struggling
without
releasing
centres.
Mohanlal,
even
suggested
that
such
releases
should
be
regulated.
Now,
the
actor
seems
to
have
forgotten
the
whole
incident
and
his
statement,
as
Kabali
is
hitting
around
306
screens
in
Kerala,
tomorrow.
He
bagged
the
Kerala
distribution
rights
for
his
banner
MaxLab
and
Antony
Perumbavoor's
Aashirvad
Cinemas
for
7.5
Crores.
Sadly,
this
will
surely
affect
the
box
office
performances
of
the
Eid
releases,
including
the
Mammootty
starrer
Kasaba,
Anuraga
Karikkinvellam,
and
Karinkunnam
Sixes,
which
are
still
performing
well
at
the
Kerala
box
office.
Reportedly,
most
of
the
theatres
have
stopped
screening
the
Eid
releases
for
Kabali.
Isn't
Mohanlal
showing
double
standards
by
contradicting
the
statement
he
has
made
earlier?
