Kalidas Jayaram-Abrid Shine Movie Gets A Title!

Kalidas Jayaram, the star kid is all set to make his Malayalam lead role debut. Hitmaker Abrid Shine has roped in Kalidas to play the lead role in his upcoming project.

As per the latest reports, the movie which is a complete entertainer has been titled as Poomaram. Sources suggest that Poomaram is a breezy romantic comedy, which revolves around a college campus.

Poomaram is expected to start rolling by this weekend. The team is yet to reveal the female lead, rest of the star cast, and technical crew of the project which will be released for Christmas 2016.

Initially, Abrid had approached Nivin Pauly, the lead actor of his first two ventures 1983 and Action Hero Biju for Poomaram. But the actor turned down the offer due to his highly busy schedule.

Later, the team roped in Kalidas for the role. Kalidas, the son of popular actors Jayaram and Parvathy, made his acting debut with the Sathyan Anthikad movie Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal.

He won the Kerala State Film Award and National Film Award for the Best Child Artist, for his second movie outing Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum. Kalidas will soon make his Tamil movie debut with Oru Pakka Kathai.
