Dulquer Salmaan starring recently released action thriller Kammatipaadam has been receiving rave reviews from the critics. The movie, which is directed by Rajeev Ravi, is scripted by actor-director P Balachandran.
According to the recent updates from the trade analysts, the movie has made a gross collection of Rs. 3.9 Crores, within the first three days of release from the Kerala box office.
Kammatipaadam had an average opening at the box office, with an initial collection of 1.25 Crores. On the second day of release, the movie collected about 1.15 Crores, thus raising the total collection into 2.4 Crores.
The outside Kerala box office collections are yet to be calculated. It is a highly disappointing box office performance for a Dulquer Salmaan movie while considering the actor's last release, Kali.
The Sameer Thahir movie had made an initial collection of Rs. 2.34 Crores from the Kerala box office alone. Kali even went on to collect about Rs. 5.75 Crores, just within the first three days of release.
It is almost confirmed that Kammatipaadam will also end up as a below-average grosser, like the earlier Rajeev Ravi films. The movie is expected to be released outside India, by the first week of June.
