Kasaba,
the
recently
released
Mammootty
starrer
has
already
earned
the
blockbuster
status.
The
movie,
which
is
directed
by
debutante
Nithin
Renji
Panicker,
has
entered
into
the
second
week
of
release.
When
it
completed
the
first
week
at
the
Kerala
box
office,
the
total
gross
collection
of
Kasaba
has
reacged
9.54
Crores.
The
movie
couldn't
break
the
first
week
collection
record
of
Nivin
Pauly's
Premam.
The
gross
collection
on
the
7th
day
of
release
reduced
to
61
Lakhs.
But,
the
Kasaba
team
states
that
it
is
natural,
as
it
was
a
working
day
and
expects
the
movie
to
be
back
in
form
by
the
weekend.
Kasaba
made
a
fantastic
opening
at
the
box
office,
by
making
a
gross
collection
of
2.18
Crores,
from
Kerala
alone.
The
movie
broke
the
initial
collection
record
of
Dulquer
Salmaan
starrer
Kali.
Within
the
first
weekend
(first
4
days),
the
Mammootty
starrer
collected
7.36
Crores
from
the
Kerala
box
office,
thus
breaking
the
first
weekend
collection
record
created
by
Mohanlal's
Loham.
The
outside
Kerala
collections
of
the
movie
are
yet
to
be
calculated.
If
things
fall
in
place,
Kasaba
will
have
a
wide
release
in
the
foreign
countries,
including
USA
and
UAE,
by
the
last
week
of
July.
