Mammootty, the megastar of Mollywood is currently filming for his much-awaited upcoming project Puthan Panam. The sources close to the Ranjith-directed movie recently revealed some interesting details about Mammootty's character.

The actor is essaying the central character Nithyananda Shenoy in the movie, which deals with the current financial situations of the society. Interestingly, Mammootty is using Kasargode dialect for his role in the movie.

Reportedly, his character Nithyananda Shenoy is a middle-aged man who hails from Uppala, Kasargode. He moves to Kochi following some unexpected incidents. Nithyanandan is a wealthy man, who love to show off his status.

He always sports glossy silk shirts and pants, along with some heavy gold ornaments. According to the close sources, Nithyananda Shenoy is one of the most different and challenging characters played by the megastar in his career.

Puthan Panam, which is said to be a thriller, is scripted by director Ranjith, himself. Mamukoya, Siddique, Saikumar, Renji Panicker, Hareesh Kanaran, Abu Salim, Eniya, Sheelu Abraham, etc., appears in the supporting roles.

Newcomer Suraj essays a pivotal role in the movie. Om Prakash handles the cinematography and Shahabaz Aman composes the music. Puthan Panam is produced Ranjith, Abraham Mathew, and Arun Narayanan, for Three Colour Cinema.
