Mammootty's Rajan Zachariah Doesn't Follow Rules!

Mammootty, the megastar is back with yet another police character, after a gap. But this time, the actor is not playing the cliched 'perfect' police officer, but his role in Kasaba is different.

Interestingly, Mammootty's character, circle inspector Rajan Zachariah is a police officer who doesn't belive in following rule or maintaining discipline. Rajan has his own ways of handling investigations.

He is a fun loving person who lives life in his own terms. Rajan works as the circle inspector of Palakkad kasaba police station. He visites a town in Kerala-Karnataka border to solve an issue in his senior's life.

C.I. Rajan encounters some unexpected incident during his visit, which gradually turns helpful for his investigation. Siddique plays the role of Rajan Zachariah's senior officer in the movie.

Kasaba is the directorial debut of actor-writer Renji Panicker's son, Nithin Renji Panicker. The movie also marks the Malayalam movie debut of Tamil actress Varalaxmi, the daughter of actor Sarathkumar.

The movie also stars Sampath, Neha Saxena, Jagadeesh, Kalabhavan Navas, etc. in the other key roles. Kasaba, which is produced by Alice George, will hit the theatres on July 7th, Thursday.
